Two years ago, we symbolically “unearthed” our first camper “Hetzi” in front of the reception – complete with a Kölsch bottle with a deposit and a tombstone that still serves as a reminder today. This tongue-in-cheek story was the starting point for a very real digitalization project: effective immediately, his “nephew” – also Hetzi – will support us as an AI-based phone assistant at the reception. Hetzi answers calls, knows all important information about the campsite, provides booking tips, and offers our guests a callback service from the team if desired. Available 24/7, multilingual, and perfectly designed to increase service quality and accessibility – especially during peak times. For us, this is another step to integrate AI practically into everyday camping life without losing the personal touch. Our guests can test Hetzi now – and we are excited to hear the feedback.
