Camping Hetzingen – Your Camping in the Eifel

Welcome to Camping Hetzingen in Nideggen.
Here you'll holiday in the Eifel, right by the Eifel National Park and the Rur river.
With us, you'll find nature, peace, and many experiences. We speak German, Dutch, and English – and everyone is on a first-name basis with us (#GernePerDu).

Location: Amidst Nature and Adventure

Our site is located on the Rur river. You're quickly in the Eifel National Park, on hiking trails and bike paths. Beautiful excursion destinations, swimming beaches, and thermal baths are also easily accessible.

Pitches: Choose what suits you

We offer various types of pitches. So you'll find exactly the right spot for you.

Standard Pitches: For tents, caravans, or motorhomes.
Comfort Pitches: More space. Mostly with water and wastewater connections.
Rur Pitches (Premium): Directly by the river. Fully equipped.
Motorhome Pitches: For flexible arrival.
Tent Pitches: In various sizes.
All pitches are parceled and have electricity.

Rental Accommodations: Arrive and feel at home

Are you camping without your own vehicle? Then book an accommodation:

Chalets & Lodges: Cozy, often with a kitchen-diner, bathroom, partly with washing machine/dryer, terrace – e.g., Chalet #1021, #1022 or the Rurufer-Lodge with a view of the Rur.
Mobile Homes: For couples, families, or friends.
Caravans: Fully furnished and ready.
Camping Barrels: Especially close to nature, some directly by the river.
Romantic Arbor: Small, fine, for two to enjoy.
Many accommodations have Wi-Fi, heating, TV, kitchen or kitchenette. Dogs are allowed in some – this is indicated for each.

Sanitary Facilities: Clean, modern, and accessible

Cleanliness is important to us. The sanitary facilities are cleaned daily.
There are two buildings with barrier-free access, accessible showers, dishwashing kitchens, a baby changing room, and chemical toilet disposal.
You'll also find cooking facilities, a laundry room (via WeWash app), and a sauna with a lounge area and view of Nideggen Castle.

Dogs: Warmly welcome

Dogs are welcome here. Please keep your dog on a leash. There are areas for walks and tips for harmonious coexistence. Dogs are allowed in several accommodations – this is indicated for each.

Events & Activities: Experience more

On and around the site, there are events for all ages.
A highlight: For some partner events, we cover the costs for our campers (registration at reception required). We work with local event partners – e.g., Wildpark Schmidt.

Thermal baths, swimming pools, lakes, hiking trails, and more – for example:
Therme Euskirchen, Eifel-Therme Mechernich, Monte Mare Kreuzau, Rurbad Düren, Badestrand Eschauel and beautiful outdoor pools. You'll get there quickly from us.

Sustainable Travel

Please help: Use a bicycle or public transport, adhere to rules in protected areas, and offset the CO₂ of your arrival and departure. This way, we jointly protect the nature of the Eifel.
